Annabel Schouten and Jurriaan de Vos have developed an acoustic immersive installation for their co-created concerts, in which the audience listens while lying down. The audience is invited inside the artwork. Inhout is a minimalist, personal and intimate concert that prompts you to slow down, be still and experience your own body. During the concert you listen to the space you are riding through, a composition of whispering harp strings and low bass sounds that you can feel resonating in your body.
The duo developed several site specific concerts with the installation together. In 2024 the instrument was first used during Over het IJ Festival at the NDSM werf. Later in 2024 Jurriaan and Annabel were invited to perform at Gaudeamus, Nijverheid. Scroll down to find some documentation of the concerts that have taken place.
